Great public success of the 81st San Sebastian Music Fortnight with most scheduled concerts sold out.

In August 29th, the orchestra Les Musiciens du Louvre, housed in Grenoble, closed the 81st Music Fortnight performing a concert conducted under the baton of Mark Minkovski, with two Mozart symphonies, numbers 39 and 41, the latter better known as “Jupiter”. This end of season culminates with around 50 events, in a memorable and unusual Music Fortnight, made possible thanks to public health measures as well as to the response of the audience, musicians and all employees, evidencing it is currently safe to hold cultural activities.

At this 81st San Sebastian Music Fortnight, the Festival’s safety was guaranteed thanks to the audience’s outstanding observance of public health measures in place due to the sanitary emergency.

This edition promoted 101 artistic contracts and reactivated another 495 labor ones from companies working at the Fortnight all through August. The implementation of the program meant a direct expense of 525.490 €, generating an income of 112.435 € through sold tickets.

This Festival’s edition featured outstanding Basque artists, among which the internationally renowned voices of Xabier Anduaga and Elena Sancho-Pereg.

In addition to the Kursaal Auditorium, San Telmo Museoa and Tabakalera’s were two other main stages at the Festival, with all their events sold out.
